WE BRING GAMEDAY TO YOU

ABOUT ME

Dan Long

I started my broadcasting career as the sports director of Bergen Catholic Television back when I was a student at Bergen Catholic.  As a freshman in college I became  the sports director and solo host of my own sports talk radio show "The Sports Fix" while attending Providence College.

After transferring to Georgetown University, I soon became the sports director of Georgetown University Television.  During my time as a Hoya, I became the "student voice" of the Georgetown football, women's basketball, & men's and women's nationally-ranked lacrosse teams on GUTV as well as on WGTB, the GU student radio station.  Not only was I able to call some of the most excting games on the air during my time on the Hilltop, but I was also fortunate to cover Georgetown's return to the Final Four during my senior year in 2007.

After graduation I returned back to NJ where I worked as a high school football sideline football reporter for WGHT 1500 AM in Pompton Lakes.  After covering high school sports for the radio station, the following year I decided to create my own Internet sports radio station covering Bergen Catholic.

So in 2008 I created the BC Radio Network and broadcast the 2008 BC football season.  In 2009 I created DL Sports Media and extended my broadcast coverage to additional BC sports including the soccer, basketball, and wrestling programs, while still broadcasting the BC football season.

While I wear many hats and am the only person responsible for all aspects of the broadcasts and website, the challenge and experience has been extraordinary, and I hope to continue to bring all the exciting action from Bergen Catholic sporting events to BC and high school fans around the world.

Thank you for your support, it's an honor to be the "Voice of Bergen Catholic", and be sure to stay tuned to the BC Radio Network.  Let's Go Bergen!
